Real Estate in Mississauga's neighbourhoods like Meadowvale, Churchill Meadows, Erinmills, Streetsville, Trelawny, Lisgar, Millers Grove, Credit Mills has continued with its growth month after month.  December of 2009 saw sales increase over last  year at this same time by more than 57%.  This large increase is rare even coming out of a recession.  An important fact is that not only are the sales up but we saw an increase to the average price of homes by more than 8%.

An area of significant concern for the buyers is that we are in a very strong sellers market with inventory down by more than 71% over last year.  We are also witnessing the average days in the market for a home decline by 53%, new listings have declined by 11% over last year and we are seeing the final % of price based on listing price increase by 3%.

What do all these staggering figures mean?  With the Festive Season behind us and 2010  upon us, I would say to you sellers or people who are thinking of selling get your home on the market now.   I have qualified buyers for condominiums, townhomes, detached homes and semis that are ready to purchase your home today in the meadowvale, lisgar, trelawny, millers grove churchill meadows, streetsville, sawmill valley, pheasant run, and erin mills area.  We have never seen prices increase as dramatically as they have over the past year.  We are witnessing multiple offers and in some cases bidding wars on listings right now.

If you are a buyer, there are still deals to be had but it is imperative that you are working with a realtor so that you can receive hot new listings the minute they come on the market.  If you are still searching on your own you will be looking at older listings that tend to be over priced.
